JEE Main 2018 Reservation

The JEE (Main) secretariat/CBSE is an examination conducting body and does not participate in seat allocation or counselling process. After declaration of result the data is handed over to SEAT ALLOCATION BOARD or the concerned state government/institute for Seat Allocation Process and admission procedure. The total number of seats available in the institutions and reservation criteria followed by the institutions depends solely on the participating institutions and the concerned state governemt, JEE Main secretariat/CBSE have no say in this regard.

As per the rules of Indian Government, reservation benefits can be claimed by certain categories. Reservation can be based on candidate’s caste/gender/disability or any other quota prescribed by the government.

The reservation criteria of JEE Main 2018 also include home state and other state quota through which admissions are offered. Please note that candidates falling under JEE Main 2018 reservation criteria will have to produce necessary documents/certificates to strengthen their claim.
