NEET Introduction to 2018

NEET UG 2018 is organized as per regulations framed under the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 as amended in 2018 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2018, National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG), 2018 (NEET-UG-2018) will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

CBSE has released the calendar of events for NEET exam 2018. NEET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for NEET 2018 includes factors like Age, Number of Attempts, Nationality (NRI, Indian, PIO, OCI, Foreign Nationals),Qualifying Examination, Seats Eligibility under All India quota, State/Deemed/Central Universities, Central Pool Quota, and Qualifications And Qualifying Examination Codes. The Candidates must fulfil all the requirements stated in NEET 2018 eligibility criteria before filling the application form and must submit the valid documents, if candidates failed to produce then their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action and also the application fee will not be refunded.

NEET Application Form 2018

Details for NEET 2018 Application Form Covers Online Registration Date, Steps, Specifications for Photograph and Signature, Mode of Fee Payment, Aadhaar requirement etc. Registration details includes Name, DOB, Address, Mobile No., ID Proof, Email Id.

Application form was released on 8th February 2018 submission was on 9th February 2018– Submission of Application form was extended till 12.03.2018, 11:50 PM

  • Candidate should have scanned images of his/her latest Photograph (size of 10 Kb to 100 Kb) and Signature(size of 3 Kb to 20 Kb) in JPEG format only, for uploading as part of submission of online application.

NEET Time Table 2018

NEET 2018 Time Table contains Number of Subjects, Examination Date (6th May 2018), Mode of Exam(Offline), Examination time, Duration of Exam (3 hours) and the Conducting Body.CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is the conducting body of NEET 2018. The Examination will be held on 6th May from 10 am to1 pm in a duration of 3 hours.

NEET Admit Card/Hall Ticket 2018

NEET UG Admit card can be downloaded on the official website from 17th April 2018. The Admit Card will bear the candidate's Roll Number, Name, Father's Name, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth, Language of Question Paper with Name and Address of examination centre allotted.

Key points

  • Admit card will be released in ONLINE mode only, it shall not be sent through post/courier.
  • No candidate will be allowed in the examination hall without the valid admit card.
  • When candidate will download the Admit Card, a copy of the same in PDF format will also be emailed to the candidate on the registered E-mail Id.

NEET Answer Key 2018

Before the release of NEET official answer key, CBSE will release the scanned OMR answer sheets of individual candidates. Candidates get an opportunity to challenge the responses of OMR sheet and even the answers given in the official answer key of NEET 2018 . CBSE will charge an amount of INR 1000/- per answer challenged or per OMR response challenged, which will be refunded in case the challenge is accepted by the CBSE Board. After considering all the challenges made by candidates. CBSE will also release a revised official answer key containing the accepted challenges.

NEET Syllabus 2018

As per the Medical Council of India (MCI), the NEET 2018 Syllabus is prepared by CBSE, National Council Of Educational Research And Training (NCERT) and Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE). The Syllabus will be based on PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) Science Stream from Class 11 and Class 12. NEET Exam centre 2018

In the year 2018 the exam was conducted across 136 cities and 2255 examination centres were granted for NEET 2018 exam.

Candidates who had filled their choice of examination centres must be present at the venue well ahead of time and carry valid admit card and one latest passport size photograph. NEET exam paper will be given in combination of 2 languages (English + Regional language of that state), hence candidates must choose their preference carefully as it will determine the NEET exam centre 2018.

NEET Results 2018

NEET 2018 Results will be Declared after the Display of OMR Sheets and Responses, Display of Answer keys. NEET 2018 Results Declaration will be on 5th June 2018. After Final Results Candidates cannot apply for Rechecking/Revaluation of Answers sheets.

Prior to the declaration of NEET results display of OMR sheets and release of answer keys will be carried out by CBSE on its website. The machine – gradable answer sheets are evaluated with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinised. And there will be no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets.

NEET 2018 results will be declared on 6th June 2018.Along with the NEET 2018 Results, All India Merit list Candidates can download NEET 2018 AIQ (All India Quota) Rank letter. If two or more Candidates scores same marks in NEET 2018 then the Tie- Breaking criteria is introduced

How to Check NEET Result 2018?

Candidates can check their NEET 2018 result and download their NEET scorecards and the step-wise procedure is mentioned below:

Step 2:Enter NEET 2018 Roll Number and Date of Birth in the given fields.

Step 3:The NEET 2018 result comprising the score card of NEET will be displayed.

Step 4:Download the result of NEET 2018 by clicking on ‘Print’ button and then save it.

NEET Cutoff 2018

NEET 2018 Cutoff ensures candidates Eligibility for Counselling by Announcing the Minimum Qualifying Percentile, All India Ranking based on the Categories. Candidates can check the Expected Cutoff, Previous year Cutoff along with the Number of Qualifying Students.

NEET 2018 Cut-off indicates the marks candidates has to obtain to ensure their admissions in medical and dental seats. NEET 2018 cut-off refers to the minimum qualifying percentile which a candidate must score in NEET in order to be eligible for MBBS and BDS admissions.

Candidates who scores equal to or more than the NEET Cut-off 2018 percentile requirement are declared qualified and are given the All India Rank (AIR) by CBSE, which is the exam conducting body of NEET. Based on NEET scores and All India Rank (AIR) of all qualified candidates, central and state counselling authorities will release their respective merit lists and hold admissions to MBBS/BDS courses.

NEET Participating Institutions/Colleges 2018

Medical aspirants who wants to pursue MBBS/BDS course can go through the list of Medical colleges/Dental colleges and the Universities they belong to and choose the college they want to study in. All the medical colleges must adhere to the standards set by MCI. So far there are 476 medical colleges offering MBBS course.

DCI (Dental Council of India) a statutory body was formed to restrict mushroom growth of dental colleges, increase of the seats in any of the course and starting of new higher courses without the prior permission of the Central Govt., Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. So far there are 312 dental colleges offering BDS course.

NEET Counselling 2018

MCC(Medical Counselling Committee) is the Conducting Body for NEET Counselling 2018. The Counselling procedure includes Registration, Number of Rounds, Choice Filling and Locking. Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services conducts counselling for NEET UG. Candidates placed in Merit/ Wait List are advised to read the counselling related information carefully and understand the course of action to be taken by them for appearing in the Counselling. NEET Reservation 2018

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2018 follows reservation policy according to which a certain number of seats are reserved for certain categories. The reservation of seats in Medical/Dental colleges for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in States/Union Territories. An All India Merit List of the eligible candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission in MBBS/BDS courses from the said lists only.

All admissions to MBBS/BDS courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the NEET (UG).

The Counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats, Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC & AFMC including BHU & AMU will be conducted by the MCC/DGHS. The counselling for admission in seats under the control of other States/Universities/Institutions shall be conducted as per the notifications issued separately by the authorities concerned.
