Prior to the declaration of NEET results display of OMR sheets and release of answer keys will be carried out by CBSE on its website. The machine – gradable answer sheets are evaluated with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinised. And there will be no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets.

NEET 2018 results will be declared on 6th June 2018.Along with the NEET 2018 Results, All India Merit list Candidates can download NEET 2018 AIQ (All India Quota) Rank letter. If two or more Candidates scores same marks in NEET 2018 then the Tie- Breaking criteria is introduced

How to Check NEET Result 2018?

Candidates can check their NEET 2018 result and download their NEET scorecards and the step-wise procedure is mentioned below:

step 1: Click on the link given to download NEET 2018 result.(Link will be updated soon)

step 2: Enter NEET 2018 Roll Number and Date of Birth in the given fields.

step 3:The NEET 2018 result comprising the score card of NEET will be displayed.

step 4: Download the result of NEET 2018 by clicking on ‘Print’ button and then save it.

Result Declaration

  • CBSE conducts the NEET UG exam 2018 and will declare the NEET 2018 results on its website. The merit list is prepared as per the directives of DGHS, MCI and DCI.
  • No category wise result sheet will be prepared. As soon as the result is ready, CBSE will host the results on the website and candidates can download the result sheets.

NEET Merit List 2018

  • All India merit list will be prepared on the basis of the NEET 2018 result.
  • In the merit list, candidates who appeared in NEET 2018 entrance exam will be listed in the order of their NEET All India Rank.
  • Along with the All India Merit List, AIQ (All India Quota) merit list will also be prepared.
  • Candidates who qualify in NEET exam and also opted for AIQ (All India Quota) will be included in NEET AIQ(All India Quota) merit list.
  • MCC will conduct NEET AIQ (All India Quota) Counselling 2018 on the basis of AIQ (All India Quota) merit list.
  • For admissions through state counselling, respective state counselling authorities will prepare their separate merit list on the basis of NEET Result.

How to Download NEET 2018 AIQ (All India Quota) Rank Letter ?

  • The AIQ (All India Quota) rank letter of NEET 2018 will be available in online mode in the first week of June 2018.
  • Candidates can download NEET 2018 AIQ (All India Quota) Rank letter here (Link will be updated soon).CBSE releases separate rank letters for admission to 15% AIQ (All India Quota) seats.

  • Only those candidates who score minimum qualifying marks and also opt for AIQ (All India Quota) admissions in NEET 2018 will be able to download NEET AIQ (All India Quota) rank letters 2018.
  • Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counselling for AIQ (All India Quota) on the basis of AIQ (All India Quota) rank provided in NEET AIQ (All India Quota) rank letter 2018.

The result of NEET 2018 will contain the following information

  • Roll Number of the Candidate
  • Application Number
  • Personal Details (including candidates name, father’s and mother’s name, gender, DOB, nationality, category/sub-category, etc.)
  • Marks Obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • Total Marks obtained
  • Percentile Score
  • NEET All India Rank
  • NEET Qualifying Status
  • NEET AIR for 15% AIQ (All India Quota) seats
  • NEET Cutoff Score

Display of OMR sheets and Responses on Website

  • The CBSE will display the images of OMR Answer Sheets and Responses graded by the Machine of all the candidates on the website www.cbseneet.nic.in
  • Candidates will be given an opportunity to submit representation against the OMR grading on payment of non refundable processing fee of Rs.1000/- per response challenged.
  • Representations made by the candidates against the OMR grading will be verified by the CBSE from the actual record and the same will be updated in the data, if challenge is found correct. However, no intimation in this regard will be sent to individual candidate

Display of Answer key for Challenge

  • The CBSE will display Answer key of the questions giving opportunity to the candidates to challenge in case of any doubt in the answer on the website www.cbseneet.nic.in

  • Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the CBSE with the help of its subject experts. If found correct, the answer key will be revised accordingly. Based on the revised answer key, result will be prepared and declared.
  • No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge.
  • The key finalized after the challenge will be final.

NEET 2018 Tie Breaking Criteria

During preparation of the NEET 2018 result, in case two candidates score same marks, then their NEET All India Rank will be determined after considering following factors in the order as given

  • Higher Marks in NEET Biology:Candidate with higher marks in Biology in NEET will be given a higher order of merit compared to those with lesser marks in Biology.
  • Higher Marks in NEET Chemistry: In case the tie still remains, then candidates marks in Chemistry will be considered. Candidate with higher marks in Chemistry in NEET will be given a higher order of merit compared to those with lesser marks in Chemistry.
  • Least Number of Wrong Answers : If the tie persists, the candidate with least number of wrong answers in NEET will be given a higher order of merit compared to others.
  • Seniority :If the tie is not broken even after considering all the above factors, the candidate senior in age will be placed higher in the order of merit compared to others.

Rules for Re-checking/Re-evaluation of Answer sheets

  • The machine – gradable Answer Sheets are evaluated with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinised.
  • There is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets. This is because of the following reasons:
    1. The candidates have been given an opportunity to make the representation on the OMR gradation of their OMR sheets and also given an opportunity to challenge the answer in case of any doubt.
    2. The OMRs are machine gradable which are being evaluated through specific software impartial to all.

Note: NEET (UG) may be used by other entities of Central/State Governments for admission purpose in accordance with their rules.

NEET 2018 Result Highlights

  • NEET 2018 Results will be declared on 5th June, 2018 in online mode.
  • The answer key of NEET and scanned images of NEET 2018 OMR sheet will be released before the NEET 2018 result declaration.
  • CBSE does not provide any provision for re-checking or re-evaluation of answer sheets to the candidates.
  • The result of NEET 2018 will contain information important for NEET 2018 qualification like All India Rank (AIR), candidates NEET score, qualifying status and NEET overall cutoff score.
  • To check NEET result 2018, candidates will be required to enter their Roll No & Date of Birth.
  • MCC will consider the NEET AIQ (All India Quota) rank released by CBSE for giving admission to 15% AIQ (All India Quota) seats, and state counselling conducting authorities will conduct MBBS/BDS counselling on the basis of NEET AIR and NEET scores provided in the result of NEET 2018.
  • NEET 2018 scores given in result of NEET 2018 will be used for admission to all MBBS and BDS courses across the country, except for the institutions established by AIIMS and JIPMER.
