WBJEE 2018 Exam Pattern

WBJEE(West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board in the offline mode on April 22, 2018. Details about the mode of exam, duration, type and total number of questions, total marks awarded, marking scheme, sections-Three sections – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be involved the examination and each section will further by divided into three categories. The marking scheme of the three categories will be different.

Highlights of WBJEE Exam Pattern 2018

  • The Entrance examination of WBJEE will be held in offline mode.
  • Each subject is divided into three categories. The categories will be based on the distribution of marking scheme.
  • In Category 1 and 2, marking more than one answer option in the OMR sheet will be treated as an incorrect answer. 1/4th mark will be deducted for such cases.
  • In Category 3, more than 1 answer options may or may not be correct. The full marks will be awarded if the candidates mark all the right answers. In case of partially correct response without any incorrect marking, the following formula will be applicable – 2 x (no of correct response) / (total number of correct options).
  • No negative marks will be given for incorrect answers in Category 3.
  • PwD category candidates are entitled to 20 extra minutes for each paper
  • Visually impaired PwD candidates will also be able to use the help of a scribe/writer having lesser/lower qualification than the candidate.
